Il 2009 continua ad essere un anno trionfale per il settore del video sharing e in particolar modo per YouTube. Le persone continuano ad usufruire dei portali di video sharing, anzi, aumenta il numero di utenti che fa uso di tali servizi online. La competizione è però scarsa, regna incontrastato YouTube, il portale che venne acquistato anni fa da Google che si rivela tuttoggi un “generatore di traffico impressionante”.
YouTube presenta finalmente la propria classifica, i video più guardati in assoluto del 2009 dedicando anche una sezione ai video musicali più visti in assoluto. Tale classifica viene redatta perchè YouTube è un portale di video sharing generalista ma il trend è chiaro, la musica “interessa” ed è un veicolo importante di traffico verso YouTube.
I top Video ? Quelli che abbiamo visto nel corso del 2009, sono l’entrata “danzante” degli Sposi e dell’intero “Entourage” ma ancor più Susan Boyle, un record, oltre 120 milioni di visualizzazioni che piace. Ricordiamo quanto disse Craig Pape, senior manager di Amazon, quando dichiarava che il CD è attualmente, 22 novembre 2009, il più prenotato in tutto il mondo[Wikipedia].
Le ricerche su YouTube sono invece una diretta conseguenza delle ricerche su Google. Troviamo come termini Michael Jackson quando venne annunciata al mondo intero la triste scomparsa del cantante (25 giugno 2009) ma anche tiger woods, il celebre, ex giocatore di golf.
